I recently took the Samaris III boots for a test on the South West Coast Path in Devon. Regatta hasn’t skimped on the details here. The durable rubber outsole has solid grip, which held up well over Devon’s rocky trails. The anti-abrasion mesh and protective mudguard mean these boots can take a bit of a beating and are easy to clean afterward. And with the mid-cut foam collar, your ankles feel well-supported, reducing the risk of dreaded ankle roll on uneven ground.
Fit-wise, I found they offer a decent amount of extra space without being too roomy, which is great for accommodating a thicker hiking sock. The locking ghillie lacing system is also a nice touch, keeping everything snug and secure for a controlled fit that lasts.
The Verdict: Worthwhile for the Price
